Hello Fellow Readers,

How are you? Are you ready for Christmas? I am totally not ready for Christmas. Me and my husband still didn’t plan the Christmas menu or Christmas activities. As we can’t travel and we will spend the holidays just the two of us I think it will be a very lazy Christmas in PJs and watching Korean TV.

This month we have only two sequels coming up – but if I forgot something, please let me know in the comments. Here we go:

The Frozen Prince (The Beast Charmer #2) – Maxym M. Martineau

Noc Feyreigner, leader of the assassins of Cruor, is living on borrowed time. If he fails to kill his final mark―Leena Edenfrell―his own life will be forfeit. With the dark magic of Curor’s Oath testing his control, Noc has to fight with everything he is to keep the woman he loves safe.

Leena would do anything to help Noc overcome the oath. So when she hears of a beast rumored to have the power needed to save Noc’s life, she is quick to embark on an expedition to the frozen north. But what starts as a hunt for a magical beast quickly turns into Leena and her trusted band of assassins as prey…and time is running out.

I admit, this is the first time I heard about this trilogy, which actually sits in between the YA and Adult fantasy genre. The first book was originally published as adult fantasy romance and later relaunched for YA audience. The characters were aged down and explicit content removed. Now, I don’t know how original adult readers will feel about it. Kingdom of Exiles, the first book, was described as Assassin’s Creed meets Fantastic Beasts. The awaited sequel is out on 1 December.

Warmaidens (Gravemaidens #2) – Kelly Coon

Just a few moons after escaping the tomb in Alu, Kammani and the other runaway maidens have found refuge in the city-state of Manzazu. There, Kammani has become a respected healer, especially among the warriors she’s brought back from the brink of death. Now that the nightmares of Alu are fading, she can finally decide whether or not to take Dagan’s hand in marriage.

But when an assassin murders a healer he believes is Kammani and attempts to kill the displaced queen of Alu, the maidens realize they’ve been found.

Hungry for revenge, Manzazu’s queen wants to strike back at Alu with her fiercest weapons—her scorpion warrior maidens—but Kammani knows that war harms more than it heals. To save the innocents and any chance of a future with Dagan, Kammani must take down Alu’s ruler before their lives burn up in the flames of war.

Warmaidens is the sequel and ending of the Gravemaidens duology, a story about the strong bond of sisterhood. It’s the story of three maidens who are chosen for their land’s greatest honour, and one girl is determined to save her sister from the grave. The second book is out on 15 December.

That’s it for 2020. This section will be back in January 2021.

Guys, what is the sequel you are awaiting the most for next year?
